I'll use my buddies, Jack and Vegas

1. What’s their real name?
Jack- Puerto Fino
Vegas- Vegas Rebels


2. What’s your nickname for them?
Jack- Sleeping Beauty 'cause he literally falls over asleep in his crossties
Vegas- Emo Horse. He self-mutilates, is slightly anorexic, and gets into drama with the other horses a lot.


3. What breed are they?
Jack: TB
Vegas: TB

4. What color/pattern are they?
Jack: Dark bay with light brown under his eyes and around his flank
Vegas: Bright orange chestnut rabiacano sabino


5. Any scars, brands, or unusual markings?
Jack has a patch of fur missing from his right shoulder
Vegas has two very high stockings on his left legs and a short sock on his right hind.


6. What’s their history?
Jack- Trained to be a racehorse, never made it to the track. A lady bought him and trained him to be a trail horse, she kept him for a few years but something happened and she had to sell him immediately, she sold him to a horse trader who put him on the slaughter truck, where my instructor found him and bought him.
Vegas- Raced as a young horse and did quite well, he actually won quite a few races. Sold to a lady who retired him to pasture because she said he was 'vicious and mean.' My instructor bought him, and Vegas hasn't a mean bone in his body. XP He'll kill you with kisses!

7. What’s their personality?
Jack- Sleepwalks 90% of the time, until you start jumping or cantering, then he gets EXTREMELY excited. Has a nervous streak, he will crowhop a little bit sometimes, won't cross water, likes to chew on his reins.
Vegas- Just all around lazy. He trots over crossrails. XP



8. Favorite treat?
Jack- He likes treats more for the relationship between horse and person it symbolizes than for the taste
Vegas- Picky. XP Doesn't really like cookies, but apples he'll usually take.


9. Biggest quirk?
Jack- He does this wierd neck-stretchy-down thing when you tack him up
Vegas- Terrified of the stall fork. XD


10. Greatest fear?
Jack- Prob'ly water
Vegas- He's scared of most things when he's in a stall. Stall forks are evil monsters determined to poke his little horsie eyeballs out, so he must bang his head against the ceiling to save himself!


11. What color looks best on them?
Jack- Black leather with white accents, white saddlepad looks very pro on bays
Vegas- There is an awesome red saddle that looks amazing on him with a green saddlepad.


12. Bit preference?
Jack- Dunno
Vegas- Dunno


13. What style of tack?
Jack- He'll go either one I think, but he definately looks more like an English horse
Vegas- Would look ridiculous in anything other than English


14. Any vices?
Jack- Definately has his off-days when he just acts like a... jackass.
Vegas- Stall shy. As mentioned before

15. Any tricks?
Vegas- Comes when you call him!
Jack- Runs away from you when you call him!


16. What’s your favorite memory with them?
Jack- Jumping over barrels, looking back at the photos and seeing that he is easily clearing twice the height of the jump, goofing off riding 'bareback sidesaddle'
Vegas- Painting him gold at day camp


17. What are they trained for?
Jack- All basic English stuff, he's really a jumper now, but he's also been trained for the racetrack and trail
Vegas- English, but hasn't gone into anything specific yet, prob'ly will be a hunter. And racing.


18. What are they best at?
Jack- Over-doing everything.
Vegas- Being tall


19. What are they worst at?
Jack- Standing still
Vegas- Getting along with other horses I guess

20. Do they know their name?
Jack- He knows to keep his distance when he hears anyone other than my instructor say it- that means some little kid is going sit on him, yank his mouth, and hammer his sides! D:
Vegas- I don't really know. I think he might, but he always comes up when he sees me
